In a recent meeting with His Excellency Dr. Munir Eldesouki, President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Dr. Munir highlighted the transformative growth under MBS's chairmanship and the establishment of The Research Development and Innovation Authority. However, challenges lie in merging research and development, specifically from academia, to the private sector. Talent development and talent acquisition in R&D are of the top priorities as well.

To address these challenges, initiatives like citizenship offerings and Incubators/Accelerators (i.e. the Garage) creation and development have been implemented. The focus is not just on supporting startups but fostering deep tech innovation.

Bringing startups from Silicon Valley and all over the world to The Garage through relocation or joint ventures is seen as an amazing opportunity to address those challenges and fulfill strategies.
