Tech Mahindra, a global leader in technology consulting and digital solutions, has entered into a strategic partnership with the University of Auckland (UoA), New Zealand’s top-ranked university. This collaboration aims to accelerate advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and quantum computing across multiple sectors including healthcare, banking, financial services, insurance, and government.
This partnership is poised to drive significant innovation, focusing on cutting-edge AI and ML technologies such as spiking neural networks and 1-bit Large Language Models (LLMs). Additionally, Tech Mahindra will be pushing the frontiers of quantum security through post-quantum cryptography. In healthcare, the collaboration will leverage AI and quantum ML for groundbreaking applications in drug discovery and digital biomarkers, paving the way for personalized therapies and global healthcare innovations.
Harshvendra Soin, President of the Asia Pacific and Japan Business at Tech Mahindra, emphasized the transformative potential of AI and quantum computing: “These technologies offer a paradigm shift in tackling complex problems and have immense potential to revolutionize industries. This collaboration will also introduce the benefits of Generative AI to Indigenous communities and provide internships at Tech Mahindra, offering UoA students hands-on experience in AI, ML, and other emerging technologies.
