Seattle-based dementia care startup Rippl has recently expanded its operations by acquiring Kinto, a Boston-based company known for offering coaching services to those caring for family members with dementia.
- Established in 2018, Kinto leverages artificial intelligence to enhance the support and education provided to individuals caring for relatives with dementia.
- The acquisition by Rippl includes the onboarding of eight Kinto employees, thereby increasing its workforce to a total of 66 members. The terms of the buyout included both cash and stock.
- Rippl, which provides a dementia care program that combines virtual clinician access with an in-person component, secured $32 million in funding in September 2022. The company started patient services in January 2023 and has also recently formed a partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, aiming to create a premier national platform for dementia care.
