Egypt’s Innovative Startups Celebrate Success in Cross-Border Initiative
Ten promising Egyptian startups emerged victorious in the premier edition of the Saudi-Egyptian VMS Bridge program, designed to foster growth and cross-border opportunities in local, regional, and global markets by connecting the entrepreneurial ecosystems of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Among the winners, five enterprises earned a trip to Saudi Arabia, scheduled for four days, to engage with potential investors and scout for investment prospects. These include Amanleek, a web-based insurance service provider for individuals and corporations; Farhy, a comprehensive platform for organizing celebratory events; Sprints, offering tech-focused educational programs; Career180, an online career training and job placement service; and Jamaykaa, a digital solution for businesses to showcase and sell their products effortlessly.
In addition to these achievements, two ventures from the Rally Entrepreneurship Accelerator, affiliated with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport’s Entrepreneurship Centre, received accolades from VMS that come with a complimentary business licence in Saudi Arabia. These are Notchnco, facilitating customer-business communication via WhatsApp and other social channels, and Neqabty, an app designed to connect unions with their members.
Moreover, three startups with a focus on environmental conservation and community service were awarded by Arweqah, granting them access to an exclusive training program. These include AgriCash, a fintech platform for small-scale farmers; ReNile, specializing in IoT applications for agriculture; and ICareer, an educational platform geared towards employment readiness.
