The esteemed accelerator for groundbreaking deep tech startups, Intel Ignite, has unveiled the latest participants for its ninth installment in Tel Aviv, slated to launch on May 8th.
A notable array of startups will be showcased, each specializing in advanced technologies for the development, deployment, and application of AI and generative AI within various sectors. These sectors range from healthcare and life sciences to initiatives aimed at countering misinformation, alongside a focus on privacy, trust, compliance, and data management.
The chosen 10 startups entering the 12-week program boast an impressive average funding of $6.4 million. The participating companies are:
- Clarity – A cybersecurity company focused on safeguarding organizations from AI-generated deepfake threats.
- Converge Bio – A pioneer in the realm of biological research and development, crafting the first Generative AI platform for DNA, RNA, and protein sequences.
- FalkorDB – Developers of an ultra-low latency Graph Database that delivers Knowledge to enhance RAG & LLM operations.
- Filo – Innovators in lossless data compression technology, aiming to diminish storage demands and boost data transmission speeds.
- Hiveware – Creators of a multi-processing verification system to accelerate tape-out processes.
- Kai.ai – Providers of a SaaS platform that augments physical meetings with scalable, AI-powered digital support.
- Noma – Specialists in Secure Data & AI Lifecycle, currently operating in stealth mode.
- Onfire – The go-to revenue OS for software infrastructure firms.
- RAAAM Memory Technologies Ltd. – Innovators of the most compact on-chip memory for any conventional CMOS process.
- Tonic Security – Bridging the cyber and business domains, currently in stealth.
“The attraction of AI-centric startups has escalated in our selection process for this cohort, with a 50% surge in companies emphasizing AI as their core area. This mirrors both the investment climate and the momentum these companies have gained from investors. Specifically, we’re seeing an upsurge in startups that are building AI-related infrastructure, including vertical dedicated AI infrastructure and applications,” highlighted Alon Leibovich, Managing Director of Intel Ignite Tel-Aviv. “The first quarter of ’24 has shown robust performance with roughly $300M in exits from our Tel-Aviv portfolio, and we anticipate the second quarter to continue with strong results.”
Since its inception in 2019, the Intel Ignite program has seen 176 participant companies collectively raise in excess of $2.5 billion in funding. The 12-week initiative is all-encompassing, focusing on every element vital to the triumph of early-stage startups. Each startup benefits from individualized mentorship by global business and tech leaders, accelerating their growth and aiding in the realization of their visions.
